Aritra Bhattacharya

I am currently a postdoc at Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research, Peking University. I completed my Ph.D. in mathematics from the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, India in April 2024, my Ph.D. supervisor was Prof. S. Viswanath.

My main research interest is in algebraic combinatorics, in particular I have worked on symmetric functions and Macdonald polynomials and their specializations such as Hall-Littlewood and q-Whittaker functions. More recently I am focusing on LLT polynomials and their generalizations. In my research I have worked with combinatorial models of various symmetric functions involving fillings of Young diagrams, Dyck paths, and algebraic tools such as finite, affine and double affine Hecke algebras, and representation theory of Kac-Moody Lie algebras.
